Adventures Of Anam Mai Acupuncture

I have been very bold and neglected this poor blog. So today I thought I better update everyone on what's been happening at Anam Mai Acupuncture.

So had official launch back to work on the 1st of February 2016, in the new improved Treatment Room at the CityNorth Hotel. Gone are all my other clinic locations and all has been consolidated in this one clinic base.

Held a wonderful GentleBirth Workshop in Feb, Mar and also again this month with the wonderful Debbie Vaughan. We also held a GentleBirth meet up and had a lovely time and chats with more mums to be.

I am now stocking, fabulous Lavender and Wheat packs from the very talented Ruby & Rocket based up in Millmount, in Drogheda.

I am now also stocking NHP Fertility Support Multivitamins for Men, Women and High strength Omega 2 Oils along with Vitamin D, for all of your fertility needs.

Along with stocking some of Lisa Heeney's amazing Natural Body Products, that smell devine.

New signage has been erected too which I am chuffed to bits with and very happy with the installation, special thanks to Wilde Photography for the image that was taken at a photo shoot here in clinic approx 2 years ago now and the wonderful model L.

Lots and lots of Positive Pregnancy news, with both arrivals and couples finding out that they made a tiny human!

I attended an amazing CPD event on Auricular Acupuncture with the very talented Mr. Jim Chalmers and I am actively using my new skills in clinic on a daily basis and loving the results.

So as you can see it's been am amazing time and a busy time. Life at home is busy too with my two little rascals which I cannot believe that the baby will be a year old next month already!

I’d like to thank Niamh for all her treatment and care during my last pregnancy. I came to Niamh requesting help to keep my blood pressure down because on my previous pregnancies I was on medication for BP which I wanted to avoid on my third pregnancy. Niamh treated me on a regular basis and I avoided medication and high BP issues. I also had 2 previous inductions and I really wanted to avoid a third induction. Around March 2022 I started getting chronic migraines/headaches. These were persistent and never went away. It resulted in numerous brain scans, sinus scans with no results. I tried numerous treatments including hyperbaric therapy, medication, Botox all of which done nothing. I eventually ended up having sinus surgery thinking that might be the issue but sadly it wasn’t. After 2 neurologists and a number of other medical professionals I had literally given up hope and was coming to terms that I would be living in this 24 hour pain forever.
Then someone recommended acupuncture which I automatically dismissed as Chinese medicine BS but said what’s the worst that can happen. I started with Niamh and that day my head didn’t get any worse. In fact the next day it started to feel better and I couldn’t believe it. Niamh has got the pain down so low that most days I hardly even notice it. It’s not an understatement to say she has literally changed my life and has given me back the freedom to enjoy it basically pain free.

I attended Niamh in Anam Mai Acupuncture throughout my third pregnancy and found the sessions really beneficial. I had never overly been a fan of needles before, but I found that I really looked forward to my treatments with Niamh.
